Moose and Kozmo Cure Canine Cancer Walk

Hosted by Home At Last Sanctuary, Glencoe Animal Hospital, and Lincolnshire Animal Hospital

We are asking for your help to promote awareness and help fund vital research being done by the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. They have an Animal Cancer Treatment research program to help develop better detection and treatment of the disease while ultimately always working toward a cure. Please rally your friends and family for this cause. All proceeds will be donated to the Animal Cancer Treatment program at U of W. Mission

Canine cancer affects one of every three dogs and all breeds can get the disease . Of those affected more than half will die from cancer. It is the leading cause of death in dogs over the age of 2. These facts are astonishing. Detecting the disease early can make all the difference. Make sure you pet is receiving routine veterinary care and report any changes in behavior or physical condition to your veterinarian even if you think they may be minor.

Event

This one mile walk will be held on Saturday October 1, 2011 at 9:00 am and will end at 12pm. Onsite registration will begin at 8:00 am. It will be held at Sunset Woods Park in Highland Park( located at 1801 Sunset Road between Central Avenue and Park Avenue West). Click here for a map. There will be raffles with amazing prizes and vendors that will set up tables some offering useful information to help care for your pets and some with items for sale. All vendors with tables at the walk will be donating to this cause.
